- Colour: purple
- For carbon steel, stainless steels, silicon bronze, copper, bronze, titanium.
- Composition: W + 3% thorium
- Little used electrode type with excellent ignition properties
- Can be replaced by non-radiating electrodes such as Lymox® or WL15.
